Prologue - we didn't record this bit
Our adventure commences on a stereo-typically isolated stretch of road between two equally cliched rural towns, although one of those is somewhere close to a bigger city lots of people probably know about - especially those that live there, but that's beside the point. Trundling along this road is a horse drawn cart, loaded down with a cargo of livestock transport crates. A bright eyed teenager, Trindle, holds the reins. He is accompanied by two bored guards: Harruld up front and Ned in the back of the cart. The gibbous moon shines down on this typically ordinary scene, which is great because shit is really about to hit the fan and I'd hate anyone to miss it.
In the back of the cart, Ka'Resh Kilskan - a relunctant member of the Kilskan criminal family. The wirey Simic Hybrid isn't having a good day. The box he is trapped in will soon double as his casket. He listens to the steady trot of the horse; ocassionally a rock catches a wheel and the cart bounces lightly.
